Science Vale Cycling Network

A comprehensive network of cycle routes. We are planning by 2026 to have a wide-ranging network of cycle routes – making it so much easier for people to travel by pedal-power.

Here in Science Vale we encourage our residents to choose more sustainable ways of commuting.  We are building a comprehensive network of cycle routes, making it easy for people to cycle to work during the week and explore its beautiful villages at the weekends.

Our cycle network will improve community connections through a mixture of new cycle routes and upgrades to existing National Cycle Routes.  In particular, we’re looking to improve connections by bike to the Harwell and Milton Park enterprise zones and to Culham Science Centre.

By 2026 our network aims to extend to Letcombe Regis, Wantage, Grove and West Hanney in the west; to Abingdon, Culham and Berinsfield in the north; to Dorchester and Wallingford in the east: across to Blewbury, the Ridgeway and West Ilsley in the south.
